Hello, my name is Taylor Howell.

Currently, I am a PhD candidate at Stanford University. I work with Zachary Manchester in the Robotic Exploration Lab on motion planning for underactuated robotics systems. I'm developing tools for robust feedback motion planning and fast contact-implicit trajectory optimization.

Previously, I worked on control for magnetically actuated microrobots with Jake Abbott at the Telerobotics Laboratory and on a personalized medicine system for ovarian-cancer treatments with Bruce Gale at the State of Utah Center of Excellence for Biomedical Microfluidics. I also spent the summer after finishing my bachelor's degree sharing my love for robotics by teaching kids how to build and program robots at University of Utah GREAT camp.

I love traveling, cinema, and making things.
