Wireless Power For Aerial Robots
My senior capstone project at the University of Utah was to demonstrate the feasibility of wirelessly transferring power to a UAV enabling it to hover indefinitely. With our approach, power is transferred wirelessly using magnetically coupled resonators and then high frequency AC is conditioned to DC for the quadcopter. I modeled and fabricated the wireless power transfer system, assisted building the power conditioning system and quadcopter, and designed and built the Design Day demos.
